Submission:
Articles intended for International Journal of Maritime Technology (IJMT) should be submitted through this website. To submit your paper, at first register as a user, login to this website and then go to your homepage and  submit your article .All correspondence between editor and author is performed through this website. for more information go to How To Submit Your Article.

 
General:
Types of contributions:

Original papers; review articles; technical notes.

Original material:

Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or in any other language, without the written consent of the Publisher.

 
Editor's requirements:
All contributions are read by (at least) two referees to ensure both accuracy and relevance, and revisions to the script may thus be required. On acceptance, contributions are subject to editorial amendment to suit house style. When a manuscript is returned for revision prior to final acceptance, the revised version must be submitted as soon as possible after the author's receipt of the referees' reports. Revised manuscripts returned after four months will be considered as new submissions subject to full re-review. Papers essentially of an advertising nature will not be accepted.

Conflict of Interest:

Authors are requested to evident whether impending conflicts do or do not exist. If an organization encompasses any financial interest in the outcome of the study, the authors are appealed to provide a declaration that have full access to all the data in the study and take complete responsibility for the integrity of the data and the accuracy of the data analysis. All studies (if necessary based on the type and subject), must be approved by the relevant Ethics Committee/ Institution review board of the respective institutions. Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to be originated by the authors.

A copyright transfer agreement is signed by the corresponding author, upon the acceptance of the manuscript, on behalf of all authors, for publication to be legally responsible towards the Journal ethics and privacy policy.

Detailed instructions on manuscript preparation and artwork instructions can be found below. The editor reserves the right to return, prior to refereeing, any manuscripts which do not conform to the instructions for manuscript preparation and artwork instruction, as well as papers which do not fit the scope of the journal.

Manuscript Preparation:
In addition to journal template, note the folloing points:

Corresponding author:
Clearly indicate who is willing to handle correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication, also post-publication. Ensure that telephone and fax numbers (with country and area code) are provided in addition to the e-mail address and the complete postal address. Full postal addresses must be given for all co-authors.

Please also note that according to editorial rules, students cannot be as corresponding author.

 
Abstract:
Enclose a self-contained abstract outlining the aims, scope and conclusions of the paper. It should be a single paragraph of approximately 100-150 words.

Keywords:
Immediately following the abstract, provide a maximum of five keywords (avoid, for example, 'and', 'of'). Be sparing with abbreviations: only abbreviations firmly established in the field may be eligible.

Units:
Follow internationally accepted rules and conventions: use the international system of units (SI). If other quantities are mentioned, give their equivalent in SI.

Maths:
Number consecutively any equations that have to be displayed, separately from the text (if referred to explicitly in the text). Mathematical symbols and formulae should be typed. Particular care should be exercised in identifying all symbols and in avoiding ambiguities. Distinction should be made between the number one (1) and letter l, and between the number zero (0) and the letter O. Equation numbers should appear in parentheses and be numbered consecutively. All equation numbers must appear on the right-hand side of the equation and should be referred to within the text. Use the following sequence of parentheses: ) ] }.

Graphics:

Graphics should be high-resolution and the preferred formats are either TIFF or JPEG. The resolution of the graphics should be at least 600 dpi.

Tables:
Tables should be numbered consecutively and given suitable caption. No vertical rules should be used. Tables should not duplicate results presented elsewhere in the manuscript (for example, in graphs). Footnotes to tables should be typed below the table and should be referred to by superscript lowercase letters.

References:
All publications cited in the text should be presented in a list of references following the text of the manuscript.

Instruction for citing references in EndNote
References may be written using Endnote in accordance with IJMT style.
Endnote is available as a desktop application, online web-based software and an iPad application. A 30-day trial desktop version of Endnote is available for Windows and Mac OS systems. The online version is available for free. Some institutions have purchased an institutional license from Thomson Reuters for their own use. You may ask your institution to know for more information regarding this.
Instructions on how to use Endnote for referencing:
1- Installing Endnote
Install the latest version of Endnote on your system. Please write down the directory address where you install Endnote.
2- Downloading IJMT style file
You may click here to download IJMT Endnote Style. After downloading the style file is complete, you should copy the file to your endnote’s directory in the folder “Styles”. The actual address of this folder depends on where you have installed Endnote during the installation step. An example of where you may possibly find this folder on a Windows system is given bellow:

3- Adding IJMT style to your styles on Endnote
Open Endnote. Press Ctrl+N to add a new reference. After you’ve filled all the required fields, click on × to close the new window. You’ll be asked if you want to save the changes. Click Yes. Click on the Tab “Edit” and go to
Edit → Output Styles → Open Style Manager…
A new window will be opened. Select “IJMT” and close it.
Now click on a reference you have added. Choose “IJMT” from the styles and click on “Preview”. You should see the reference styled as in IJMT style.

All authors must sign the Transfer of Copyright Agreement before the article can be published. This transfer agreement enables IRANAME to protect the copyrighted material for the authors, but does not relinquish the authors' proprietary rights. The copyright transfer covers the exclusive rights to reproduce and distribute the article, including reprints, photographic reproductions, microfilm or any other reproductions of similar nature and translations. Authors are responsible for obtaining from the copyright holder permission to reproduce any figures for which copyright exists.

PDF Proofs:
One set of page proofs in PDF format will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author, to be checked for typesetting/editing. Proofreading is solely the author's responsibility. You should note any corrections and return the proofs within 48 hours. Answer any queries in full. Please correct factual errors only, or errors introduced by typesetting. No changes in, or additions to, the accepted (and subsequently edited) manuscript will be allowed at this stage.
